Hi! I am Laura and I am so glad you are here! I am a photographer in Northern Virginia that specializes in newborn and family photography. My love for taking photos is something that has been with me throughout my life, but really became a creative outlet when my sister had her little girl. I started with my point and shoot camera and adored capturing her daily smiles and how quickly she grew. When my sister had her son, I was not able to watch him grow as closely, as I was studying abroad. Missing those milestones was difficult, but my growing passion for photography refused to leave me. I began taking photos around the city and found joy in documenting my life in London. After graduation, it became so clear that my love for being behind the camera was truly my dream job and I was going to have to make that leap to start my business. Which I am happy to say I did in 2012 and made it official in 2013.

During the last seven years my business has taken my photography in so many unique directions. But over time there has always been a tug at my heart to follow the direction that has had the most impact and inspiration in my own life. My husband and I struggled with infertility for 7 years and throughout this whirlwind journey capturing expectant mothers and newborns was my way to use that experience in a positive way, while also helping me fight our way through it! In 2017 we had success and welcomed our daughter Finley in August. Becoming a mom brought an entirely new perspective on the beauty of motherhood. It also gave me an even deeper understanding of the importance of capturing as many moments in life as we can.

My goal is to provide a comfortable and fun environment while creating timeless art of your growing family. Time goes by so quickly and I want to capture the spirit of your loved ones in this moment for you to always remember. My favorite part of my job is meeting new families and hearing their story. I would love to follow along in your pregnancy journey or spend an evening with your family, and together we will celebrate the beauty of your life.

When I'm not snuggling up to those squishy newborns or running around with your little ones, I love to spend time watching scary movies and getting hooked on a new tv series with my family. I am married to Jeremy, the most incredible man and my best friend in the world! Jeremy is my number one fan and has always been the biggest supporter of me following my dreams. We have a gorgeous daughter, Finley, who is always keeping us on our toes and loving on her fur sister Layla.
