Family photography is often some of my most rewarding and fun work, especially with returning customers! I first met the Caton family last spring and shot a family photography session for them in Leesylvania Park near Woodbridge, Virginia. This year they returned for more at the same location.
When I first met the Catons the baby of the family, Reese, was just turning one. Seeing how much their three girls have grown in just one year was really special! The Catons are always a lot of fun to work with. Brittney is wonderful and her husband Adam is super friendly and their kids are so full of personality and are great to photograph! Rilley, the oldest, is nine, Reagan is four, and Reese is now two!
I loved this photoshoot because I got to go to a spot I don't usually use in Leesylvania. The park was pretty crowded so we were dodging some other people to get our pictures. We found a little tucked-away cove with greenery in the background and water to work with. It turned out wonderfully! The cove gave this session a completely different look and feel from when I photographed the Catons there last year.!
The sky looked amazing in the background and the water wasn't too cold so the girls could get their feet wet. We were even able to grab some of their birthday photos in their special birthday outfits! Overall the session was really fun, and I loved seeing the Catons again and taking some pictures for them! I hope to see them again over Christmas. They're a wonderful family and I truly love working with them!
