It made my photographer heart so happy to work with Michelle and Mike for their engagement session. Their wedding will be on October the first, which is also their dating anniversary. If that isn't the cutest, I don't know what is! Considering how long the two of them have been together, this is an exciting new step for their relationship!
This engagement session was extra special, especially since Michelle and I both went to the same church as kids. Even with a bit of an age gap, we knew each other pretty well through the church youth group!
Even though time drew us apart, we never lost touch. We used Facebook to keep up our friendship. Taking Michelle's engagement photos was the first time we got to see each other face to face in years! When she contacted me about her upcoming wedding I was over the moon!
I usually limit the number of weddings I'm willing to photograph in a year, but this was a special case! Seeing Michelle again and taking pictures for her engagement session, and soon wedding, are definitely worth it!
We photographed the session in a barn near the neighborhood of one of Michelle and Mike's friends. The forecast was super stormy for that night, but we chanced it anyway, and boy did it pay off! We had really great, even lighting and the sky was awesome! We even got to include their dog in the session, as well as some fun props that they had brought.
It was a really fun session, and we had lots of fun together. The two of them were both super adorable! I can't wait for their wedding, and I'm so happy for Michelle and Mike. I'm grateful that she chose me to be the photographer, not only for her engagement, but for her wedding as well!
