The best part of my job is watching a newborn client grow over their first year. Sweet baby Paige graduated her one year package this summer and I could not have loved watching her grow from newborn to toddler more. I have had the pleasure of capturing this family many times over the last year and have enjoyed every minute of it. For Paige’s one year session we went with a mix of family photos and an outdoor cake smash on the beach.
The family portion was first. And our session date was overcast but the rain held off which made the lighting perfect and made for a much cooler day. We were able to start the session a little earlier than normal, which gave us plenty of time to have fun. We had the beach to ourself which was so great. We captured family, parent, and sibling photos and really had a blast just running around and of course ending in the water. :)
Paige’s session was not a traditional smash. Her mama opted for watermelon instead of cake. Paige wasn’t too sure of the watermelon at first but she really got into it with a little help from mom. By the end she was a sticky mess and ended the session with some big smiles! Every one year session is always filled with tears and smiles and usually ends in a mess. They are so much fun to capture and a great way to celebrate being one!!
