Lucy is officially ONE!! I had the BEST time photographing this sweet angel’s first year! She is the sweetest and squishiest little thing and I have loved every minute of our sessions together. From a super sleepy newborn to a big kid, Lucy always gives me the best faces and personality for her sessions.
For her cake smash, her mama wanted to go with a “Berry” wonderful theme. I created a cute little simple strawberry setup on a neutral backdrop. Mama completed the look by bringing a giant cake topped with real strawberries. Lucy may have loved the berries more than the actual cake but she certainly enjoyed her birthday treat.
We started off the session with a few formal portraits, then moved to the smash! At first Lucy was really only interested in the berries, but mama helped her along with some bites of cake and nibbles of frosting. Then she really started to get curious about the sticky frosting. There were lots of silly faces and smiles, but also some funny cranky faces when she was tired of being covered with cake! It was the perfect cake smash and a great way to celebrate the end of our Baby’s first year package!!! Happy Birthday Lucy!! Here are my favorites!
