Summer baby photoshoot sessions are some of my favorites! Baby Delilah, only eight days new,, was the perfect little muse for these photos, so sweet and cute! I took her mom's maternity photos, and now I get to meet Delilah herself, which is always so exciting!
Summer Newborns and The Family
I always look forward to summer baby sessions because I get to go outside and use nature for its beautiful backdrops, in this case, my own yard! There are spots in my garden that give an almost fantasy look when I use them in the right season, and Delilah's photos simply glow with that feel! That's one of the perks of Virginia summers.
We started the session with the whole family, mom, dad and all of the kiddos. We took a few each of Delilah's brothers and sister and then ended that part of the session with photos of just their mom and dad together!
Delilah in The Garden
After the family photos, we changed Delilah into a different colored wrap than we had started with and I took her outside to the garden. I got to use my monstera plants, as well as some of my flowers, and then moved on to my hydrangeas, which were in full bloom for the session. Delilah was so cute in every photo, and I am obsessed with the garden pictures we got, they're definitely some of my favorites from this session!
After the garden, we took Delilah inside for a couple of wrapped poses and then we wanted to try a swing-shot. I made a fake swing for Delilah to hold onto (though she was really on her back holding a swaddle), and those photos turned out amazing, they gave exactly the look her momma wanted! We finished off the summer baby photoshoot session on the beanbag with a floral backdrop, and took a few pictures of Delilah with her custom name blanket.
Summer Colors and Little Babies
Overall the Summer baby photoshoot session was so much fun! I had a blast taking baby Delilah out into the garden among all of the plants and flowers, and the family looked amazing out in my front yard! Summer sessions, especially with newborns give me the opportunity to use so many more colors and it opens the door to so much creativity!
I love my garden and my plants, and I'm so glad I got to use them as the backdrop to photograph little baby Delilah and her family. Thank you guys for the opportunity to meet her, and to hang out with you!
